Morgan texted me last week with an awesome idea. "Katy, how about we start a blog where we can post what we wear, what we cook, and little stories about our daily lives?" So here it is! A week later and already up and running. Man, that woman works fast! She also asked me to think of some name ideas for the Blog.... and ta da!!!! She liked the first thing I threw out, "Uggs, Bugs & Tutus."
Both Morgan and I share the same fashion style and its called.... well, I don't know what its called but it's cute to me. ;-P Our favorite seasons are fall and winter mainly because we get to wear boots, scarves and tons of layers. We love layers. Layers allow you to cover up any bulges due to the children that we lovingly carried inside our bellies.... because of course our bulges are not due to over-eating! Never that! Hehe. So getting back to the meaning of our name. Ugg boots are an essential piece in our wardrobe. Not only that, but it rhymed with Bugs. Which is the next word in our name.
Bugs because it symbolizes the precious boys that we call our sons. Not because they bug us, of course, but because boys usually like bugs and all sorts of creepy crawly things. Morgan has one little boy (Ty) and I have 3 (Kai, Gavin, and Kingston.) They are the princes of our hearts and with every prince, there is usually a princess.
In our cases, the princesses out-number the princes. In my house there are 4 little "tutus" ruling over the "bugs." Morgan has a couple less than me, but they make up for it with their attitude and sass. She definitely has her hands full with Miss Emma and Kate aka Little bit. My girls are Kristian, Shealee, Kaden, and Maya.
That is the story and meaning behind our name. And it only took me 3 minutes to come up with it. Go me! We will share more about our families and post pictures in our upcoming posts.
