A Knight's Armor

I love love love to make little changes in my home that make a huge difference! I usually annoy my hubs because half the time when he comes home from work, something is different. Honestly it is more than half the time, but being the man that he is, he doesn't notice half the stuff that changes around here!

A few days ago I decided that I was over my yellow hallway bathroom. It wasn't a "Big Bird" yellow but it just clashed with the floors and the counter tops. Since the previous owners had put in bead-board on the lower half, I knew I could go dark. So here is my hallway bathroom before the mini makeover...

I never got a shot of my previous shower curtain but it was white with a blue design. So the yellow isn't bad, right? Well this momma wanted a more "grownup" looking bathroom! So here is the after!

I went off the floor tile and the counter tops this time and went for a dark grey. The shower curtain is from West Elm. I totally stole the idea from Katy. She has the grey and white striped one! It is kind of hard to tell but the curtain is navy blue and white stripes. I kept the same picture on the wall because I love it! It was a clearance item from Garden Ridge for $20.

I did get rid of the metal wire rack. I had come to hate that thing! So of course I was in search for something where my almost 2 yr old month old could not reach. When we were home in Arkansas last summer I found this awesome shelf at a thrift store for $10. When I finally got it home I painted it white and distressed it just a bit. Its hard to tell but my wall art has a little distressed look to it. Its the perfect shelf at the perfect height so little hands cannot reach!

So there you have it! Another mini makeover that cost me about $40. The only thing I paid for was the shower curtain. It took me quite some time to actually purchase it. I have never spent that much on a shower curtain before but I loved Katy's and I knew that it would look amazing. So I took the jump and got it. I do not regret it one bit! I am in love with it! I got the paint on a Lowe's gift card. Ahhhh...my family knows me so well! It is Olympic paint called knights armor.

It doesn't take much to completely change the look of one room!! Hope you like it as much as I do!!!

***Sorry for the pictures. The lighting is horrible in there.
